Energy Task Force: About Us
We have formed an Energy Task Force for Shepherd Public Schools.
This committee has been meeting for the last few months, discussing
ways in which the district can conserve energy. We will also be discussing ways in which we can infuse energy conservation into our curriculum,
more than what we are currently doing. We are planning on introducing the students to this concept on February 6th.
We will be having assemblies on this day for all of the grade levels, providing them information about this important
issue, not only in Shepherd, but world-wide as well.
There will also be information provided to the 6-12 students concerning careers in energy conservation that are available now and in the future. Our theme for this is “Blue and Gold
Makes Green”, and our mascot will be a Blue Jay in a turtleneck sweater! (we thought about having the theme be :
“Blue and Gold Goes Green”, but we did not want to upset the Wolverine fans!) If you have any helpful ideas or questions, please feel free to contact any of the following members of the Energy Task Force:
