4 Candidates to Interview for Shepherd Public Schools Superintendent
Shepherd, MI – The Shepherd Public Schools Board of Education has identified four candidates to interview for Superintendent of Schools after reviewing applications from nineteen contenders.
The Shepherd Public Schools Superintendent Search posting closed on April 30, 2024 with considerable interest and 19 applicants. By our evaluation, via an extensive paper screening, the applicant pool is strong relative to other comparable searches, as it includes a high proportion of applicants with considerable building-level and district-wide administrative experience. Many of the applicants in this pool met the criteria established by the Board.
These interviews mark the beginning of a rigorous vetting process that will include two rounds of public interviews as well as thorough background and reference checks.

The Board of Education invites parents, family members, community members and district staff members to attend the interviews. All interviews will be held in the high school media center.
